Arely Anaya (uh-RE-lee uh-NAH-yuh) lives in Butterfield, MN, a town of six hundred-ish people. She’s the middle child of ten and moved homes quite a bit as a kid. W is for Watonwan, an ABC children’s book, was her first publication in 2011. She graduated from Columbia College Chicago with a major in fiction writing and a minor in writing for television in May 2019. After a month and a half writing hiatus, Anaya landed a staff writing job for the St. James Plaindealer in July 2019, and it’s keeping her on her toes. Her latest fiction piece, “I Feel Poopy” can be read in Hair Trigger‘s Fall, 2019 issue.
